MonkeyBaa, an Australian theatre company for youth, embarked on a journey to rebrand as they celebrated 25 years in business. They collaborated with Universal Favourite to develop a new brand and visual language that reflected the company's vision. Universal Favourite then extended this branding into website designs and partnered with us to develop the new website.
Considering the content-heavy nature of the site, Universal Favourite went through an in-depth wireframing and information architecture process to design multiple templates comprised of various content modules. This approach ensured that users of varying ages could easily navigate the website to find information on upcoming shows or general details seamlessly.
We developed a flexible page builder in Statamic CMS, allowing pages to be easily built using the designed modules, providing the client with endless possibilities for building pages. This allowed the client to adapt pages to suit content requirements, offering flexibility and a system that would grow with the business over time.
Working closely with Universal Favourite, we integrated SVG animations of characters and introduced subtle on-scroll animations to complement the designs. We are immensely proud of this collaboration and the outcome, which resulted in a visually engaging and user-friendly website that showcases the creativity and passion of MonkeyBaa Theatre Company.
